Instant Pot Smokies, Green Beans and Potatoes is a classic, easy meal the whole family will enjoy.
In this recipe I used Oscar Meyer Hardwood Smoked Smokies. These are made with beef and pork and have such a good taste. Add a little seasoned salt combined with the potatoes and green beans and the flavors all come together perfectly.
The vegetable steamer basket is used in this recipe to keep the potatoes and green beans up off the bottom away from the smokies. It allows everything to cook at once. If you don’t have one, you will love it for all those veggies.
Ingredients needed for Instant Pot Smokies, Green Beans and Potatoes:
olive oil
minced onion (optional)
hardwood smoked smokies
chicken broth
potatoes
green beans
seasoned salt
How to make Smokies, Green Beans and Potatoes:
1. Cut the hardwood smoked smokies into bite size pieces.
2. Turn on the Instant Pot to saute and allow to heat up, add the olive oil, smokies, and the minced onion. Saute for 2-3 minutes.
3. Add in the chicken broth and scrape anything stuck to the bottom of the Instant Pot. Sprinkle the seasoned salt on top.
4. In a steamer basket, add in the potatoes and drained green beans. Place the basket on top of the sausages in the Instant Pot.
