The key to Instant Pot pancake bites is to keep it simple, only fill HALF of each compartment and add your favorite toppings.
My kids love these but it took lots of trial and error of making dough balls. 🤣 I used Krusteaz pancake mix which had the best consistency I have found to use in the IP!
We love pancakes in our house and is probably the number one requested breakfast item. We sometimes have breakfast nights for dinner. The kids love that! We make pancakes, eggs, biscuits and gravy, jelly or honey, French toast or waffles, bacon or sausage links. We can’t forget the chocolate milk.
After trying pancake bites several times, I felt like I couldn’t get them just right. Krusteaz is our favorite and they are best right out of the Instant Pot. I get questions about reheating them, and you can easily reheat. If you are trying to plan ahead for the week, you can easily make a batch and freeze.
Every year we go to Tennessee and try to stop at a pancake restaurant that has bear pancakes. Usually, the face is made out of chocolate syrup. One year we stayed at a hotel that had bear waffles!! So so fun!
Ingredients needed to make Instant Pot Pancake Bites:
- 1 c Krusteaz pancake mix
- 2/3 c water
How to make Instant Pot Pancake Bites:
- Grease egg bite mold and set aside.Â
- Combine pancake mix and water.Â
- Pour halfway in each compartment with the pancake mix. Add toppings of choice if you like such as chocolate chips, blueberries, sprinkles, etc. Cover with foil or silicone lids.
- Add 1 cup of water to the Instant Pot along with the trivet.
- Pressure Cook for 12 minutes with a 5-minute natural pressure release. Drizzle with syrup and enjoy!Â
*To freeze, put them in a freezer safe bag, squeeze it air out, they can last for 3-4 weeks. just reheat for 30 seconds to have at breakfast!
