This BBQ pulled chicken makes the best BBQ chicken sandwiches, especially served on buns with coleslaw or sweet potato fries.
CAN I USE FROZEN CHICKEN?
Yes! It is easy to cook frozen chicken breasts in the Instant Pot. Keep the cook time the same. The Instant Pot will take a few extra minutes to reach pressure if your chicken is frozen. However, if your chicken breasts are frozen AND very large, you could increase the cook time with an added 10 minutes.

- chicken breasts
- brown sugar
- Italian dressing
- BBQ sauce
- Worcestershire sauce
How to make BBQ Chicken Sandwiches:
- Place the chicken in the IP.
- Cover with brown sugar, Italian dressing, BBQ sauce and Worcestershire sauce.
- Add 1 cup of water to the IP.
- Set the IP for 20 minutes and 10 minutes NR.
- Once complete, pull chicken apart and add 1 cup of BBQ (more if needed). Place on buns and enjoy!
How do I shred the roast?
I use meat claws, but you could also use 2 forks or a mixer.

- 4-5 boneless chicken breasts
- 1/2 c brown sugar
- 1/2 c Italian dressing
- 2 c BBQ sauce divided
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 c water
Instructions
- Place the chicken in the IP.
- Cover with brown sugar, Italian dressing, BBQ sauce and Worcestershire sauce.
- Add 1 cup of water to the IP.
- Set the IP for 20 minutes and 10 minutes NR.
- Once complete, pull chicken apart and add 1 cup of BBQ (more if needed). Place on buns and enjoy!
