Beef Stew in the Instant Pot 🥣

Comfort food at its best! Pair with a side salad and your favorite dinner rolls! Has anyone used Au Jus seasoning? It adds a great flavor to this stew! Gather around the table for this hearty stew, soo yummy!!

I use stew meat which is usually a mixture of different steaks, but if you cannot locate stew meat you could use boneless beef chuck.

How to make Beef Stew:

  1. Preheat the Instant Pot by setting it to saute HIGH.
  2. While the Instant Pot is preheating, combine the flour and salt in a large zip top bag.
  3. Add the stew meat to the flour and shake to cover the stew meat.
  4. Once the Instant Pot display reads HOT add the butter to the Instant Pot and allow it to melt.
  5. Once the butter is melted, add in the floured stew meat (discarding the extra flour) and brown the meat.
  6. Once the meat is browned (about 10 minutes) add the beef broth and water. Scrape the bottom of the Instant Pot until all stuck on bits are removed from the bottom of the liner.
  7. Add in the au jus seasoning mix, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup and parsley.
  8. Secure the lid, position the knob to sealing. Cook on manual HIGH. If using tenderized stew meat, cook for 20 minutes. If using regular stew meat, cook for 35 minutes.
  9. While the stew meat is cooking, prepare the veggies.
  10. When the stew meat is done cooking and the Instant Pot beeps, quick release the pressure.
  11. Add in the veggies and pressure cook on HIGH for an additional 2 minutes. Again, quick release the pressure.
  12. Salt and pepper to taste, and serve!
