Cheeseburgers

I love using the grill outside for hamburgers, but when it’s snowing and winter outside… this is not an option. I discovered that making them in the Instant Pot is so much easier than grease popping out at you on the stovetop.

It’s so easy to just wrap up the hamburgers in foil, set the time, prepare your toppings and top once complete. Using 1 pound of beef, you can make between 2-4 burgers as I explain below.

How to make Cheeseburgers in the Instant Pot

Hamburger Meat Mixture

• 1 lb Ground Beef

• 1/4 c A1 Sauce

• 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce

• 1/2 tsp Cavender’s Seasoning

• Salt & pepper to taste

Add-ons (use whatever you like!)

• 4 Hamburger Buns

• Cheese Slices

• Tomato Slices

• Lettuce

• Mayo

• Ketchup

• Mustard

• French Fries

Instructions

1. Add 1 1/2 cups of water to the inner liner of the pressure cooker.

3. Place the trivet in the pot.

4. Mix all of the hamburger meat mixture ingredients together in a bowl with the meat.

6. Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal (4 oz) patties, 3 (5 oz) patties, or 2 (8 oz patties).

7. Wrap patties in foil or parchment.

8. Stager the wrapped patties on the trivet. Then place the lid on the pot and seal.

9. Pressure cook using the following formula:
12 minutes for 4 oz patties (8 minutes for a touch rare)
14 minutes for 5 oz patties (10 minutes for a touch rare)
16 minutes for 8 oz patties (12 minutes for a touch rare)

10. When complete, do a Quick Release.
Remove the patties from the pot using tongs. Then let them rest for 5 minutes. Then unwrap them on a plate to catch the liquid.

11. Add on all your toppings and enjoy!

Yes, you can make 8 burgers. I would reduce time by 2-3 minutes.
