Instant Pot Cheesy Sausage Bites are loaded with flavor and cheesy goodness.

Instant Pot Cheesy Sausage Bites

Mornings just got easier with these little guys. Cheesy sausage made in the Instant Pot wrapped in a biscuit. Perfect for a morning breakfast treat and great to reheat if you make ahead of time.

Instant Pot Cheesy Sausage Bites Ingredients

  • 1 can (7.5 oz) of biscuits (I use the small can and chop them into squares)
  • 1/2 c mild cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c sausage chopped (you can use mild or hot)

How to make Instant Pot Cheesy Sausage Bites

  1. Grease egg mold tray and set aside.
  2. Split each biscuit in half.
  3. Put one layer of the biscuit in the bottom of the mold.
  4. Place a spoonful of sausage and cheese in each compartment.
  5. Place the other half of the biscuit on top. Tuck the biscuit in so it is touching the other biscuit with the sausage and cheese on the inside.
  6. Cover silicone mold with silicone lid. Add 1 cup of water to the instant pot.
  7. Close the instant pot lid and seal. Close the pressure release valve. Set the instant pot to manual, high pressure for 20 minutes. Let naturally release for 10 minutes and then quick release steam.
  8. Remove from the mold and enjoy!

WHAT TYPE OF EGG BITE MOLD DO I NEED?

You will need an egg bite mold for your Instant Pot for these recipes. I recommend one that has a silicone lid. If you get one with a silicone lid, then you can put it in the Instant Pot. If yours is plastic, it cannot go in the Instant Pot. Lightly place the lid on them mainly to keep the moisture out.

I recommend a heavy duty egg bite mold with a silicone lid. It can be used for numerous recipes. However, it is important to have one that is heavy duty because your items will come out better. Most importantly, I would use avocado oil or cooking spray before putting anything in them.

These Egg Bite Molds on Amazon from the Insta Extras are premium quality, comes in a 2 pack and includes a plastic and silicone lid. I am not endorsed by them, they are just ones that I recommend that I find to be among the best at a reasonable price.

CAN I PUT THE LID OF MY EGG BITE MOLDS IN THE INSTANT POT?

Yes, only if it is made of silicone. The egg bite mold is made of silicone, so if your lid is also made of that, you will be able to put it in the Instant Pot. I recommend lightly putting the lid on your egg bite molds so that it will keep all the moisture out.

I prefer using it over foil. If you have a plastic lid, it can only be used for storage such as freezing items such as baby food.

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY LID IS PLASTIC OR SILICONE?

If your lid will bend over and touch the other side easily, then it is silicone. If it is stiff and not bendable, then it is plastic.
