Creamy Penne Pasta is so delicious and very easy! Great for a beginner or a seasoned pro! I have been using the Instant Pot for awhile. I cook all of my pasta dishes in the Instant Pot. It creates perfectly cooked pasta in half the time and less dishes to do. If you follow my blog, you know I am all about keeping it easy, simple and tasty!
Is this a budget-friendly meal?
Yes, since this is a meatless meal, you can save on that cost. If you have mozzarella or parmesan cheese, you can use your favorite instead of both. With inflation rising, I use store brand in many things except for the sauce in this particular recipe. I really like the Hunt’s 4-cheese sauce. I can usually grab the ingredients for this meal for less than $10.
TIPS for added goodness:
I recommend Hunt’s four cheese red pasta, it’s so good with this recipe.
I often used dry minced garlic because I usually have that on hand.
If you want to just use mozzarella or parmesan, that would also work rather than using a cup of each.
How to make delicious Creamy Penne Pasta in the Instant Pot
1. Put the broth, garlic, salt and pepper into the pressure cooker. Add the pasta to the pot. Push noodles down so they are covered with the broth.
2. Pressure cook for 6 minutes. Allow for a 6 min NPR.
3. Stir the noddles, then add the red pasta sauce and stir well.
4. Add the evaporated milk and stir well.
5. Turn the Instant Pot onto Saute HIGH until the sauce is bubbling.
6. Turn the Instant Pot off and gradually stir in the parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese. Stir until the cheese has melted completely and the sauce has thickened.

- 8 oz dry penne pasta
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 can (24oz) red pasta sauce (I like Hunts 4 cheese)
- 3/4 c evaporated milk
- 1 c shredded parmesan cheese
- 1 c mozzarella cheese
Instructions
