This Instant Pot Easy Beef Stroganoff made with ground beef, fresh garlic, and onions, cooked together with egg noodles is an easy “dump and forget it” recipe.
My oldest daughter loved this recipe and came back three times for more, which never happens.
I love using fresh garlic and it worked great in this recipe. The cream of mushroom and sour cream provided the rich creaminess that made it so yummy!
I’m continually developing easy Instant Pot recipes. I use chicken often, and wanted more with beef. With kids, I love making all in one instant pot recipes. This Instant Pot Stroganoff turned out wonderful, in other words let’s get started.
You’ll notice that some Instant Pot stroganoff recipes use steak or beef stew meat. However, that is perfectly fine to use those meats. For instance, this recipe is adapted from my stove-top recipe because I wanted to make a ground beef stroganoff recipe for the Instant Pot. Most importantly, it’s more budget-friendly, convenient and easier to make than some stroganoff recipes using steak. You would need to pressure cook the steak before hand. Easy Beef Stroganoff is ready within about 30 minutes!
Ingredients needed for Easy Beef Stroganoff
chopped onion
fresh garlic
ground beef
cream of mushroom soup
flour
beef broth
egg noodles
sour cream
How to make Instant Pot Easy Beef Stroganoff:
- Cook. Sauté ground beef, onion, and garlic.
- Prepare. After beef is browned stir, deglaze the Instant Pot.
- Add. Add flour, broth, soup, and salt and pepper and stir.
- Top. Add noodles on top and cover with liquid.
- Cook. Seal and set to high pressure for 8 minutes with a 5 minute NPR.
- Serve. Stir in sour cream until combined. Serve in bowls.
HOW TO DOUBLE INSTANT POT STROGANOFF:
To double this recipe, simply double all of the ingredients but keep the cooking time the same! The Instant Pot will just take a little longer to come to pressure.
CAN I FREEZE BEEF STROGANOFF?
I wouldn’t recommend freezing this recipe because I don’t think it tastes great reheated from frozen. If you do decide to freeze it, freeze before you add the sour cream.
