Fudge

Today we started out to make one type of fudge and then two, but we had the ingredients to make one more!! It’s Thanksgiving… so why not, let’s share the goodness!

We made chocolate, cookie dough and peanut butter. We made it the simple way, with the help of the microwave!

Cookie Dough Fudge

Ingredients

• 1 c mini chocolate chips

• 1 c Ghirardelli white chocolate chips

• 1/2 c butter, softened

• 1/4 c granulated sugar

• 1/2 c brown sugar

• 2 tbsp milk

• 1 can sweetened condensed milk

• 1 tsp vanilla

• 1 1/2 c all-purpose flour

• 1/2 tsp salt

1. Line an 8×8 pan with parchment paper, set aside.

2. In a medium sized bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, brown sugar, milk and vanilla until well combined.

3. Add in the flour and salt.

5. In a microwavable bowl, microwave the white chocolate and sweetened condensed milk until smooth. Microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds.

6. Pour the white chocolate mixture into the cookie dough bowl. Combine until smooth.

7. Fold in the mini chocolate chips.

8. Pour the fudge into the prepared pan, spread evenly.

9. Refrigerate for 2 hours before cutting.

10. Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Chocolate Fudge

3 cups semi sweet chocolate chips

1 can sweetened condensed milk

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract

1. Line an 8 X 8 inch pan with waxed paper.

2. Pour chocolate chips into microwave safe bowl.

3. Pour can of sweetened condensed milk over the chocolate chips and stir.

4. In a small glass bowl, microwave the chocolate and sweetened condensed milk until smooth. Microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds.

6. Remove from microwave and stir well.

7. If it is not smooth, return the bowl to the microwave for an additional minute, stirring after each 30 seconds.

9. Add salt and vanilla extract.

11. Stir and pour into the paper lined pan.

12. Allow to come to room temperature and set up (become firm).

14. Cut into squares and serve.

Peanut butter fudge

Ingredients

• 2 cups Reeses peanut butter chips

• 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

1. In a microwave safe bowl, add the peanut butter chips and sweetened condensed milk.

2. Microwave for a total of 1 minute and 30 seconds, stirring ever 30 seconds.

3. Stir one final time to insure the mixture is smooth and free of any lumps. Pour onto a parchment lined cookie sheet, spreading into a 9 inch square.

4. Refrigerate for 30 minutes before cutting. Cut and serve.
