Juicy meatballs smothered with a sweet and sticky, Teriyaki pineapple sauce in this quick and easy Instant Pot recipe for Hawaiian Meatballs over rice.
Meatballs are such a quick and easy dinner, but I often forget how simple it is to change them up from the typical spaghetti and meatballs.
Using pineapples when cooking and then calling it Hawaiian always brings up the question, does it make it a Hawaiian dish. No, it doesn’t make it Hawaiian but I think it is often in that category for many reasons. James Dole started a plantation in Oahu in the 1900’s but they originated in South America. Hawaii remains the only state in the U.S. where pineapple is grown.
Recipes on Chase Laughter are known for being simple, tasty and easy. Therefore, on busy nights you can whip up a dish for you and your family in minutes. I used frozen Italian style meatballs because I like the flavor it adds. I usually always choose Jasmine rice in recipes because it adds that bit of sweetness that is just so satisfying!
Whenever I can add a bit of garlic flavor, I do it! Crushed pineapple is great in this recipe because you will have a delicious bite of flavorful meatballs and rice.
