Instant Pot Crayons are beautiful and so fun to use with different molds.
Need a fun indoor activity to do with kids? Or maybe you are a teacher or grandparent that wants to do something for your class or grandchildren. This is such an easy way to turn those broken unused crayons into something beautiful by making Instant Pot Crayons.
Ways to use these beautiful Instant Pot Crayons:
- These would be perfect for a birthday party as party favors. Molds come in so many fun shapes and sizes. There are squares, hearts, Lego bricks, animals, unicorns, alphabet letters and more.
- I’m thinking instead of a Lemonade Stand, how about a Crayon Stand for all those little entrepreneurs.
- Need something to bring to class parties instead of candy, these would be so fun and a perfect alternative.
- Kids can use these instead of regular crayons to make pictures. They can mix colors together or make solids of their choice.
How to remove the crayon wrappers without crying:
Anyone with little ones will realize that if you can make things easier, please tell me how! Wrappers are hard to get off and can be frustrating for you and kids in the process. If you have a craft knife, use this to cut the wrapper from top to bottom and then kids can simply peel them off. Another way is to soak them for about 10 minutes in warm water. Just remember the crayons will need to be dry before placing them in the Instant Pot. The knife method is the fastest and easiest.
Best Molds for Homemade Instant Pot Crayons:
I would recommend silicone molds that would fit in the Instant Pot. There are many shapes and sizes to choose from. Lego bricks are a great size and peel easy from the silicone mold. Square silicone shapes make it easy for little hands to hold onto. There are variety packs that you can purchase that has flowers, hearts, stars and more.
