Nutella French Toast is perfect for a special day, weekend or for something completely different than your usual breakfast!

This is a simple recipe with a handful of ingredients you may already have on hand. If you find this too sweet for breakfast, it would be a fantastic dessert. Once finished, you could easily top with powdered sugar and strawberries.

The bread is an important part of this recipe. We often use Great Value Texas Toast from Wal-Mart because it’s thick and absorbs the egg mixture well.

Ingredients needed:

• 4 slices of Texas Toast

• 4 Tbsp Nutella

• 1 egg

• 1/2 cup whole milk

• 1 Tbsp sugar

• 1 tsp vanilla extract

• 1 Tbsp butter

• Powdered sugar

• Strawberries

How to make Nutella French Toast:

Step 1:

Spread Nutella on each of the 2 pieces of bread and put another slice on top.

Step 2:

In a shallow bowl, whisk the egg, milk, sugar and vanilla extract until well combined.

Step 3:

Dip each side of the sandwich into the mixture.

Step 4:

Preheat a large skillet over medium high heat. Spray with cooking spray and add the butter.

Step 5:

Once the butter is melted, add the French toasts and cook each side until golden brown (about 2 minutes per side).

Step 6:

Top with powdered sugar and strawberries.
