Instant Pot Cinnamon Roll Bites are the perfect easy yummy breakfast. Drizzled with icing, these bites are sure to be pleasing to your taste buds!
I have a special treat for you today! This is seriously so easy and if you are one that likes the center of the cinnamon roll best, then wait until you try these!! It’s like a cinnamon roll with NO EDGES! What?!?!
Why make them in an egg bite mold instead of the oven?
Don’t get me wrong, I also love them in the oven. I also love them in the airport! There is something about them in the egg bite mold that makes them perfectly bite sized with no hard edges. I am one of those people that like the center of the brownies with no edges, anyone else? I take them out and drizzle with icing and my little ones get them before they hit the plate.
Ingredients for Cinnamon Roll Bites:
The ooey gooey goodness of these are out of this world! These are made in the Instant Pot!! So grab your egg bite mold and Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls. That is all you need for a plate of scrumptious cinnamon roll bites!
How to make Cinnamon Roll Bites:
Grease the egg bite mold and set aside. Place cinnamon rolls cinnamon side up into compartments. Cover silicone mold with silicone lid. Add one cup of water to the instant pot. Close the instant pot lid and seal. Set the instant pot to manual high pressure for 20 minutes. Let them naturally release for 10 minutes. Remove from the egg bite mold, drizzle with incing and enjoy!
You could also make this giant cinnamon roll using pillsbury cinnamon rolls. I use a Fat Daddio push pan. My favorite little Instant Pot pan. It makes removing everything so easy! Just sit the pan on a cup or can and the side just goes down, leaving you with your dish. Just use a spatula and scoop the giant cinnamon roll onto a plate. Wouldn’t this be fun to make for a birthday breakfast!!
I start with one cinnamon roll in the middle and then I just unwind each remaining cinnamon roll and wrap around the center cinnamon roll. Make sure you spray your push pan with cooking spray and cover with foil. Add 1 cup of water to the Instant Pot and pressure cook for 20 minutes with a 10 minute NPR just like below. Drizzle with icing afterwards and enjoy!
Turn them into apple cinnamon bites with apple pie filling. You could actually use any pie filling of your choice. Cherry would also be a great option. Find the recipe here. You will just make the cinnamon rolls flat, push them into each mold with a scoop of apple pie filling. Cook them and drizzle icing on them at the end. Warm apples inside of cinnamon rolls are so good! This is such an easy breakfast or snack. I love these anytime of the year.
WHAT TYPE OF EGG BITE MOLD DO I NEED?
You will need an egg bite mold for your Instant Pot for these recipes. I recommend one that has a silicone lid. If you get one with a silicone lid, then you can put it in the Instant Pot. If yours is plastic, it cannot go in the Instant Pot. Lightly place the lid on them mainly to keep the moisture out.
I recommend a heavy duty egg bite mold with a silicone lid. It can be used for numerous recipes. However, it is important to have one that is heavy duty because your items will come out better. Most importantly, I would use avocado oil or cooking spray before putting anything in them.
These Egg Bite Molds on Amazon from the Insta Extras are premium quality, comes in a 2 pack and includes a plastic and silicone lid. I am not endorsed by them, they are just ones that I recommend that I find to be among the best at a reasonable price.
CAN I PUT THE LID OF MY EGG BITE MOLDS IN THE INSTANT POT?
Yes, only if it is made of silicone. The egg bite mold is made of silicone, so if your lid is also made of that, you will be able to put it in the Instant Pot. I recommend lightly putting the lid on your egg bite molds so that it will keep all the moisture out.
I prefer using it over foil. If you have a plastic lid, it can only be used for storage such as freezing items such as baby food.
HOW DO I KNOW IF MY LID IS PLASTIC OR SILICONE?
If your lid will bend over and touch the other side easily, then it is silicone. If it is stiff and not bendable, then it is plastic.
