It’s actually very simple to make this dish. Just make a crust with crescent rolls and then add your favorite taco toppings.
What You’ll Need to Make Taco Pizza

- Refrigerated crescent rolls
- Cream cheese – Leave it out at room temperature for about 30 minutes to soften.
- Sour cream – you’ll combine this with the cream cheese to give the perfect flavor and extra creaminess.
- Ground beef – Browned and drained, then combined with the taco seasoning.
- Taco seasoning
- Cherry tomatoes – you can use any variety you like, just chopped into bite size pieces.
- Shredded cheese – cheddar, Monterey Jack or Mexican blend work great.
- Shredded lettuce
How to make Taco Pizza
This recipe is so simple and fun. It’s so quick and easy, making it a great choice for dinner after a long or busy day. Kids love to help make this.
- Prep the Oven. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.
- Roll out the Dough. Unroll your crescent dough onto a cookie sheet into a rectangle, pinching edges together so there are no holes.
- Bake. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
- Whip. Whip together cream cheese and sour cream. Spread onto cooked crescent crust.
- Cook Beef. Brown your ground beef and then drain. Add in your taco seasoning and water. Sprinkle evenly over sour cream mixture.
- Add Toppings. Sprinkle shredded cheese, tomatoes, and shredded lettuce on top. Top with any other desired toppings like salsa, hot sauce or avacodo.
- Serve. Slice into evenly sized pieces and serve.
Substitutes and Variations
These are some substitutions if you have these items on hand.
- Cheese. You can use any shredded cheese you prefer for this recipe. Some of our favorites include cheddar, Monterey jack or Mexican blend.
- Tomatoes. Instead of cherry tomatoes, you can also use diced tomatoes on the vine.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 tomato (chopped)
- 2 cups shredded Mexican cheese
- 1 cup shredded lettuce

1. Spray a pan, and preheat oven to 375.
2. Roll out crescent dough into a rectangle, pinching edges together so there are no holes.
3. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
4. Whip together cream cheese and sour cream. Spread onto cooked crescent crust.
5. Brown ground beef, drain. Add taco seasoning. Sprinkle evenly over sour cream mixture.
6. Sprinkle on chopped tomato, cheese, and lettuce. Top with any other desired toppings like salsa, hot sauce, or avocado.
